Golden Gate Hotel and Casino

Located right at the start of Fremont Street by the Main Stage, you can easily walk out the casino and boom you are right in the party! Also, you're close to public transit so it is easy to bus it down to the strip if you want. The room was comfy, if small, but it IS the original hotel on Fremont Street. Pretty cool feature, they mark in the hallway where the original building and rooms are and where the addition is. The bed was super comfortable, tv is fine, wifi worked perfectly well (we logged into our own YoutubeTV to watch some NCAA football). The room had a refrigerator, no microwave or coffee pot. Ice machine worked fine and was centrally located, and we were weirdly impressed with the vending machine. It had the usual snack and beverage fares, but it also dispensed personal care items ranging from OTC drugs and hygiene to sexual health/protection. We just found this to be a thoughtful touch for those that might be in immediate need.

it was very clean and the staff were excellent!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though this hotel is old, the upkeep and cleanliness were noticed. Being an old hotel, the tiny room has small upgrades such as the rain shower head and lots of lighting in the bathroom. The bed seemed comfortable and the bathroom and rest of room was very clean when we arrived. We loved that we had access and were able to enjoy the Circa pool as part of our stay at Golden Gate. We will most likely stay at the Golden Gate when we come next year for EDC.

Great casino and hotel

Location to the action on Freemont is perfect, and Paul is definitely my favorite bartender at the flair bar...always pours the best Absolute lime and coke.... we only ever frequent that bar and his pouring skills when we come down from Canada. Room was clean and beds comfortable, location of room beside the stage was not ideal, as muh as we live Spandex Nation it was a bit much for 4 nights in a row. BUT.... we will be back!
